Podlugovi Railway Station, Ilijaš

The basement of the railway station in Podlugovi near Ilijaš was used in July 1992 as a site of detention for Bosniaks. The site was run by members of the VRS.On 5 June 1992, the guards threw poison gas canisters into the basement and the prisoners broke down the door to get out. Some of the prisoners were transferred at gunpoint to the Iskra warehouse in Podlugovi, while 20 prisoners were returned to the basement. The bodies of these 20 prisoners were later found in the mass grave at Žerovanj.
