Motel Sretno, Kakanj

From March to June 1993, the Sretno Motel was used as a detention facility for Serbs and Croats. ARBiH had jurisdiction over the facility where 16 prisoners were confined to a room in the motel basement.The room had a narrow passage where the prisoners were held and a wider chamber where they were interrogated. The disposition of the room was such that prisoners were able to watch the interrogations. All the prisoners were subjected to daily abuse and beatings. On 19 May 1993, all the prisoners were let go. Ranko Popović remained at the Sretno Motel until 21 June 1993, when he was transferred to the Music School in Zenica.
